I’ve always enjoyed competition, athletics, team work, progress, struggle, and how sports and training represented so much of a microcosm of life. You get what you earn and sometimes more if the ball bounces your way.
My desire to be the best continues as I’ve sought out the best coaches across the world and attended clinics, read books, audio cd’s, and more, so that FITT Warehouse and CrossFit Newnan would not only enhance your athletic performance and fitness levels, but so that we do more than just train, but are a family.
Mindy Self is a ISSA and CrossFit level 1 Certified trainer. She is co-owner of CrossFit Newnan and FITT Warehouse, and has been training for 7 years.
She has a great love for training and helping women become comfortable and knowledgeable within the gym. From cardio queen to dead lifting diva, she now enjoys lifting heavy and the competition CrossFit brings. She hopes to empower women to feel confident in training “with the guys” and holding their own!
Training is her favorite hobby and she will ensure it becomes yours as well!
Dr. Eric Legault, D.C., B.S., C.S.C.S., CrossFit L1 Trainer
I graduated from Life University, College of Chiropractic in 2005. In January 2006, I became a chiropractic physician certified with modalities by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. That same year, I was awarded the certification of Strength & Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) by the National Strength & Conditioning Association. Early 2012, I pursued another certification by TherapyCare Resources Inc named Graston Technique, a soft tissue mobilization technique. Most recently, in September 2012, I was awarded the CrossFit Level 1 certificate.
In 2007, I founded Optimal Performance to offer the benefits of specific therapeutic treatments such as chiropractic care, rehab, exercises, stretches, soft tissue mobilization as well as strength & conditioning to people seeking fitness, wellness, sport injury management and prevention methods. I relocated my office inside FITT Warehouse Training System late 2011.
I was born in Canada then moved to Georgia in 1998 where I attended Life University with a full hockey scholarship. I played 4 seasons for Life University and won 3 National Championship from 1998-2002. During my stay at Life University, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as a Doctorate in Chiropractic. Before moving to the U.S., I played “Junior A” for the Central Junior Hockey League in Ontario, Canada. In High School, I was named the “Best-All-Around-Athlete” for 2 consecutive years playing hockey, football, baseball and soccer while maintaining good grades. Beside hockey being my favorite sport, I also had a passion for baseball. In 1996, I was invited to the Montreal Expo’s winter training camp in Florida.
For the past 10+ years, I learned and worked with my mentor, Dr. Peter Hughes, M.S., D.C., A.T.C., C.S.C.S., who is well known in the baseball community for working with MLB players such as John Smoltz, Andrew Jones, Brian McCann, Tommy Hunter, Mike Gonzalez and many more.
I am a devoted husband and proud father. I enjoy playing hockey, golf and cooking.
