To be the best athlete you must train, recover, and supplement with the best products available. I’ve tried many pieces of equipment and many supplements and these are the things that I use and recommend to my athletes. These are the very best out there and I would not endorse and use if I felt otherwise.
Training Equipment For The Power Athlete:
Sleds: Due to the lack of eccentric stress there is little else that compares to sled work for recovery, strength, conditioning and fat loss. This is another irreplaceable component of all FITT programs.
Fat Bars:Improve overall strength and power while minimizing joint stress. These are staples at FITT
Grip 4orce: Instantly turn any exercise into a forearm/grip builder that will also save your elbows and shoulders.
Strongman Gear: Take your training to another level with strongman training. Lift, carry, and throw odd object.
Climbing Ropes:Develop true functional pulling strength and a massive set of lats, biceps and forearms.
Strength Training Bands:Great for pull aparts, pushdowns, assisted chins & dips, external rotations, terminal knee extensions, leg curls & countless other exercises. Essential if you train at home with limited equipment.
Olympic Bars:Some of the best and highest quality everyday bar for all purposes we beat and abuse ours here at FITT on a daily basis
Collars:With all the variations of lifts and surfaces we use you must lock down your bumpers and we used lock jaw collars exclusively at FITT
Bumpers:Without question your garage or gym must have bumpers and Rogues various bumps take a bump and never bend or break. Its what our athletes use at FITT
Squat Stands/Racks:These are what we use at FITT Warehouse. They take up minimal space and you can’t beat the price.
Kettlebells:If you’ve never trained with KB you’re missing out on one of the best strength and conditioning tools on the market. Our athletes perform everything form swings, TGU’s, to mobility with them. Very versatile and a MUST
Rings:Rings are an essential, irreplaceable part of all Renegade programs. According to well known gymnastics coach, “Rings are the most effective tool ever created for developing upper body size and strength.”
Plyo boxes:Power is a direct reflection of ones strength. Box jumping allows athletes to display a variation of power.
Med Balls:Like the KB, med balls are very versatile and allow many forms of training and warm-ups to take place. If you’re serious about results you must include these into your program(s)
Jump Ropes:Athletesall over have used this classic. Get one and use it!
Ab Mats:Ergonomical design allows better posture while performing this classic movement
Training Shoes:Instantly improve your form, eliminate tucking of the lower back and take your squat to another level. I don’t allow clients to squat without them
Mobility Packs & Sets: Everyone should be able to treat and take care of themselves before, during, and after training. These mobility tools are a must have in your arsenal.
